Barry M Pink Sapphire Jewel Glitter Nail Paint Swatch & Review

Hey guys I am always looking at my nail polish collection and thinking of polishes I haven't swatched yet and this is one of them.

I used one coat for this, the polish was a bit old so I thought it would be very lumpy but it went on so smoothly. I love it and its so easy, and those little silver glitters actually stuck down unlike the models own one!

I tried to clean up my cuticles and i accidently took loads of polish off looool I need to practise! But anyways I used this colour over 3 coats of Butter London Teddy Girl which I have a post on here.

Butter London Teddy Girl Swatch & Review

Hey guys sorry I haven't posted regularly I've been so busy but today I made loads of blog posts so I will be posting every day next week. Right now I'm watching X Factor and its my guilty please I absolutely love it!

I used 3 coats to get this colour. You need 3 coats to get it really opaque. I also used a topcoat because it was a bit splotchy. I absolutely love this colour it is the PERFECT baby pink colour. I wanted this colour for so long so when I finally splurged I was so excited!

At first I thought it was such a waste of money and it wasnt pigmented but actually compared to the other polishes it is amazing! I really want to buy other Butter London polishes but they are so expensive! I paid £10.50 for it and I bought it at Selfridges. You can buy it from amazon here.

Easy Pink Ombre Manicure!

Hey guys so I am really annoyed that I can't do daily posts! I am so busy but I am starting to do all of my homework on the weekdays so I have the weekend free to hang out with friends and plan and make blog posts for the upcoming week.

It was so easy and took about 5 minutes! Its such a quick way of jazzing up your nails without having to be good at nail art, or if you're in a rush!

Bright Blue and Purple Leopard Print Nail Art

Hey guys I'm so sorry I haven't been posting every day like I was last week, I have had so much homework I don't have any time!! I really want to invest in a light so I can take pictures at night but we'll see.

I used Barry M Gelly in Greenberry on the pointer and little finger. Then on the middle finger and ring finger I used JulieG Nail Polish in Fashion Friday. I used the greenberry for the leopard print and then a black and a dotting tool for the design bit.

There is a few different nail tutorials on leopard print, I would recommend you follow one with a dotting tool method as it is much easier than using a nail art brush.

I also used China Glaze Fairy Dust underneath the nail polishes before I did a design on them.

China Glaze Fairy Dust Swatch & Review

Hey guys so I know I've been doing a lot of polish swatches instead of nail art, I am at school so I only have the time to quickly swatch 1 nail polish after school. I will try and do designs on the weekends, but I might not have the chance.

I applied one coat over Barry M Blackberry Gelly Nail Polish. I am absolutely obsessed with this nail polish, it can instantly transform the nail polish or a nail art design. There are very small holographic glitters in it.

I found about it through some nail art instagrams and I'm so glad I bought it! I bought mine from Amazon for £6 here. I don't normally spend that much money on nail polishes but its definitely worth it and I haven't found any drugstore alternative.

NYC Gramercy Glitz Swatch & Review

Hey guys I've been on a bit of a recent glitter kick recently. I don't know I just searched my blog on the weekend and  haven't swatched quite a few nail polishes in my collection; including my glitters. I am going to be throwing away old nail polishes soon and buying new ones, so there will be a lot of new swatches in the next few months.

Sorry the picture is blurry, for some reason my camera just got so confused on what to focus on! I have no nail polish on underneath because I thought it would have a more pinky undertone. It is basically a clear nail polish with pink and silver glitter.

It is very similar to a LA color nail polish which you can see here. Honestly I would rather use the LA colors version. This is alright, I did use 2 coats for these swatches. I had to remove it using the foil method (click here.) It is £2.49 from Superdrug which you can buy here.

Barry M Gelly Blackberry Nail Polish Swatch & Review

Hey guys so I have been swatching a lot of glitter polishes so I thought I would break the chain for a second and do a normal nail polish post. I absolutely love the Barry M glitters and when I have spare change I always pop into Superdrug and buy a new one.

It is a dark greeny blue colour, very perfect for autumn/fall. I only used 1 coat and it is extremely pigmented. I normally would use 2 if I wanted it to last longer than 2 days but 1 coat is perfectly fine. My cuticles are so messy, I really don't know how to clean up my cuticles properly yet.

I have worn this polish so much over the last year. It is a 'Hi-Shine' colour so you won't need a top coat. I have a lot of other Barry M swatches on my blog, so at the top of the page just search Barry M and have a snoop around! I got this polish for £3.99 at Superdrug. Check out the other Gellys here

Beauty UK Posh Polish in Intergalactic! Cheap Glitter Polish!

Hey guys so I rarely swatch glitter nail polishes so I thought today I would!

The glitter is clear with chunks of all different sizes and shapes and colours. It is so easy to apply and a very thin coat covers a lot of glitters on the nail. The colour I am wearing underneath the glitter is NYC In a Minute nail polish in Madison Avenue.

I love this polish because it took me no time at all the get the perfect glitters. It took me a while to remove but I have a blog post on how to remove glitter polishes which you can see here. I did a blog post on a different glitter polish from Models Own a few days ago which you can view here.

NYC In A Minute Nail Polish in Madison Avenue Swatch & Review

Hey guys so even though I am so busy and stressed with school at the moment I love blogging, its like a little escape from the actual world :). I bought this nail polish such a long time ago and I always forget I have it its really bad that I do that!

This polish is a dark red colour, it is so pigmented! I only used one thin coat for these pictures. I dont know if you can tell but you can sort of see my nail tips so if I wanted to wear this for a long period of time I would definitely wear 2 coats.

The thing I hate about these fast dry NYC nail polishes is that they stain my nails soooo much! It's literally ridiculous. I had it on for only about a few hours and it made my nails so red. It fades in about a week but maybe if you use a thick base coat or ridge filler it will prevent that. I bought my bottle of nail polish for £1.79 at Superdrug.

Models Own Dancing Queen Swatch & Review

Hey guys so I rarely use glitter nail polishes because they are such a pain to remove but I haven't swatched this before so it was necessary haha. And I forgot what this nail polish looked like so I'm happy I did this post :)

I used 2 coats of Barry M Indigo which I blogged about the other day (click here). I used 1 coat of 'Dancing Queen.' As you can see it is a clear nail polish with chunks of small and large gold glitters, some green glitters and some different shaped and coloured glitters.

It isn't the easiest glitter to apply, it is hard to get an even amount of all of the glitters on the nail. Also the bigger glitters tend to stick up so you have to push them onto the nail to stick if that makes sense.

Barry M Indigo Nail Paint Swatch & Review

Hey guys so I really thought I had swatched this before but I searched my blog and nothing came up so here goes!

I didn't use a base coat and it still went on my nails really smoothly. I used 2 coats and no top coat, it is so shiny you definitely don't need a top coat. I love it so much it dries really quickly and is such a staple colour in my collection.

Sorry about the glare in my nails you can see my window haha. That is just how shiny they are! You do have to paint the free edge of your nail or they will chip a bit but other than that I really recommend it. You can buy it from the Barry M website here, on amazon here or at a Boots or Superdrug store.

Gradient Polka Dot Nail Art

Hey guys sorry I didn't post yesterday I was having a bad day but today I've been really inspired; I've planned all of my blog posts for the rest of this month and I'm so excited for blogging every day! I saw this on The Nailasaurus' blog and had to see if I could re-create it myself. So all credits go to Sam!

It is sort of a gradient polka dot, the idea is that there are more polka dots at the bottom and they fade up into less polka dots. I used 2 coats of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Shrimply Divine and then I used dotting tools to make the dots.

It was so easy, the polka dots took about 5 minutes but the pink nail polish took a while to dry.

Models Own Champagne Nail Polish Swatch

Hey peeps I actually got this nail polish at Christmas and I don't know why I just realised I own it! My nail polish collection is probably getting a bit ridiculous now!

This is the nail polish. It is not what I would call champagne, it is more of a light browny silver shimmer if that makes sense.I used 2 coats of this but you could easily get away with one. It is quite a shiny finish but not very smooth so I would use a top coat as well.

It is more silvery than it looks in the bottle which I was a bit sad about but oh well. It retails for £5.00 you can check it out here. Check out my other Models Own swatch here. It is quite easy to remove, it's not like a glitter polish at all.

Rimmel Nail Nurse Nail Rescue 14 Day Treatment Review

Hey guys so since I did that blog post about my gel nails I remembered I used a products to help my nails get back to strength, which is this amazing product!

To find out about my gel nail experience click here. So when I took them off I religiously did this regime (Apply 1 coat on day 1, apply second coat on day 2, take off on day 7 and repeat.) By using this product slowly but surely my nails did get a lot stronger much faster than I had expected. They didnt harden over 2 weeks but after about a month they were noticeably better.

I really recommend this product, I wear 2 coats of this for Monday-Friday for school and then paint my nails with a design for the weekend. This routine makes my nails really strong and healthy looking. I always thought that if you always wear nail polish your nails would be really unhealthy and weak but they are actually the opposite! It's great.

This products retails for £4.49 and you can buy it here. You can probably but it at supermarkets too :)

Gel Nails Experience

Hey guys so I never told you but in October 2012 I got gel nails done. I wasn't blogging at the time so I thought it would be fine to get them done, I thought they looked so nice and everyone had them done so why not join in?
*Please note the pictures in this blog post are pretty crap as I took these pictures randomly and not for a blog post*

I took this picture at the bus stop and with my iPod touch which is awful quality haha, but you get the jist of it. So I got some sort of fake nail with gel nail polish on it. It did look a lot better than the acrylic nails that other people have got.

This picture has been cropped so that's why it looks a bit strange. As you can see they look really natural and you cant see where they put the fake bit on. They lasted about a month, they could have lasted longer but I was getting annoyed with how long they were getting.

Getting them off was the worst part, you literally have to pull them off or soak them in acetone WHICH DOESN'T EVEN WORK! It took me so many hours to file them down and try and scrape them off with a nail tool. Personally it wasn't worth all the damage it did to my nails, but I guess that's just because I am obsessed with my nails.

Easy and Cute Nail Art for Toes!

Hey guys so I found a really good tutorial on different toe nail tutorials which you must watch! I normally just paint one solid colour for my toes, I can never usually be bothered to do designs but now I'm going to start because it looks really cute and professional.

I tried one of them and I really liked how it turned out, it looks like I got them done at a nail salon aha! It is a 'missjenfabulous' tutorial I will be trying out the other designs from the video and if you want a blog post of my other designs just comment below! You can watch the video I am talking about here:

Models Own Banana Split Swatch! Pastel Yellow Nail Polish

Hey guys woop woop second day in a row of posting! Going to get back into blogging now! I actually did these nails a few days ago but have just got around to posting it now. :)

I got this nail polish back at the start of summer, I really wanted it as I saw so many people raving about it on youtube and instagram.

This is the polish swatch. It is not very pigmented when you put it on, you need about 3 coats to get a solid colour but you could get away with only 2 coats it would just be a little patchy.

The scented part is slightly ridiculous, the top of the bottle is a scratch and sniff which does smell like those banana sweets. But your nails really don't smell like bananas they just smell like chemicals, sorry to disappoint!

Overall, I like it but there is probably a better and more pigmented version on the market and when I find a good one I'll blog about it!

Simple Blue Rhinestone Nail Art

Hey guys so I did these nails about 2 weeks ago and I'm so sorry I'm so inconsistent with posts I have been so busy as school started this week. I will be back at regular posts in a week or two when I have all of my homework handled!

Any ways I loved these nails I never use rhinestones and I have a whole wheel so I thought I would use them for a change. This was a really simple look it didn't take much effort at all.

These are the nails. I used Essie protein base coat followed by 3 coats of Barry M Blue Moon. The rhinestones I used were dark blue ones from a wheel which you can buy here for only £1.39.

I applied them with a bit of topcoat on my nail to act as glue and then I placed the rhinestones on them with tweezers. If you want you can put a bit of top coat/clear nail polish on the tweezers so you can pick up the rhinestones better. There is also a great tutorial on how you can apply rhinestones by JulieG713 which you can watch here.

Hope you enjoyed! Thanks for reading make sure to comment and follow!
